Why this display fridge earns its place
The Foster EcoPro G3 EP700G is a single-door glass-front upright fridge — the display version of Foster's EcoPro G3 cabinet, built for anywhere chilled stock needs to be seen as well as stored: a deli counter, a farm shop, a self-service drinks fridge, or a kitchen pass where staff need to check contents at a glance without opening the door. It holds +1°C to +4°C, the standard chilled band for fresh produce, dairy and drinks, in a stainless steel bodied cabinet with 482 litres of usable capacity behind the glass.
Three 2/1 GN shelves, each fitted with an anti-tilt system rated to 40kg, sit on a racking design Foster built for quick, tool-free removal when it's time to clean, and Circulair I air-distribution technology keeps the cold air moving evenly behind the glass so stock at the back holds the same temperature as stock at the front. Cooling is fan-assisted on a 230V supply, and because glass doors carry more heat gain than a solid door, Foster rates this cabinet at climate class 3 (ambient up to +25°C) rather than the higher class 5 rating on its solid-door siblings — worth knowing when siting it. Even so, Fuzzy Logic II control keeps it at Energy Class B, 657.0 kWh a year and an EEI of 11.3%.
Build is stainless steel exterior and interior, on R290 natural refrigerant — HFC-free and clear of the phase-down rules affecting older gases. A thermal-break frame and hot-gas door heater around the glass keep condensation off the door itself, which matters for a unit meant to be looked at, and the smartphone-style touch panel stays hidden until lit, then shows a clear temperature readout. The door is self-closing and lockable with a 90° dwell for loading, and the whole cabinet sits on 80mm castors, the front two braked. It carries 2 years on-site parts and labour cover.
