Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Polar G-Series PG053 is a double stable-door upright gastro fridge built for kitchens moving serious volumes of stock between prep, cold room and combi oven. Each of the two doors splits into independent top and bottom sections — four lockable openings in total — so different staff can access separate zones without one person's tray-grab releasing the whole cabinet's cold air.
Inside, 780 litres of net usable capacity spreads across six shelves plus two floor protectors, with room for up to 20 double-size (2/1) gastronorm trays so full loads move straight between appliances. Forced air cooling holds -2 to +8°C and recovers fast after the doors open, and Energy Class B at 605.9 kWh a year (EEI 32.0%) keeps that capacity's running cost in proportion to what it stores.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, with self-closing doors, automatic heated defrost, and a digital controller with LED display for straightforward temperature management. 60mm insulation helps hold running costs down, R600a refrigerant and Climate Class 5 cover the environmental and ambient-performance side, and two years' parts and labour warranty is included as standard. Gross weight is 163kg, drawing 280W on a 220-240V supply.
