Why this counter fridge earns its place
The Polar U-Series UA104 is the larger mixed-access counter fridge for kitchens that want drawers and door storage in the same prep line. Its layout combines four gastronorm-compatible drawers with two hinged-door compartments, so fast-moving ingredients can sit in drawers while backup stock or lidded containers sit behind doors. At 2230mm wide, 700mm deep and 860mm high, it is a substantial counter-height unit with a stainless steel worktop.
The cabinet is specified with 284 litres net volume, two shelves and a supplier-listed 616 litre capacity. That makes it well suited to busy prep areas where a single upright fridge would slow the line down: drawers can serve the chef or make station, while the door sections hold the next batch of chilled stock.
Forced-air cooling supports the -2 to +8 °C temperature range, using R600a refrigerant and a 300 W rated input on 220-240V. Climate class 5 is listed, and energy consumption is specified at 2.1 kWh per 24 hours or 767 kWh per year with a B energy class.
