Why this single door commercial upright freezer earns its place
A single-door upright freezer in stainless steel 430, the 7489.5050 is back-of-house frozen storage for a working kitchen. 700 mm wide, 2050 mm tall, holding 550 litres on shelved full depth behind one solid door. It opens onto a stacked cavity where bagged veg, portioned proteins and boxed stock sit within reach of the line, at a steady -10 to -22 °C with digital control and automatic defrost. LED interior lighting helps staff find items quickly. It is a storage freezer, built to hold prepped and bought-in stock frozen and organised rather than to chill hot food down.
Single-door uprights suit a fixed spot on the frozen side of the kitchen, opened through service and restocked between covers. Stainless steel with 60 mm insulation wipes down as part of a normal cleaning routine and stands up to a busy back-of-house environment. An upright layout keeps frozen stock stacked and reachable at standing height, so staff can rotate by date and pull what they need without digging into a chest. At 138 kg, it is manageable to position but needs proper preparation before delivery.
As an upright it takes a single floor footprint against a wall or in a run of storage units, and the stainless exterior suits a commercial kitchen's hygiene standards. Confirm the cabinet clears your doorways and lift access before delivery, and leave the ventilation clearance the manufacturer specifies around the unit so the cooling system can breathe. Electrical supply: 230 V, 50 Hz mains required. Craven Cooling can advise on siting, electrical supply and servicing.
