Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF2430 is a walk-in chiller room that gives a commercial kitchen or production site a proper cold store rather than a bank of cabinets — an internal 2240 × 2840 × 2040 mm (W×D×H) space you walk into, finished white inside and out, entered through a single hinged solid door with a 700 mm × 1845 mm aperture. It holds bulk deliveries, stacked stock and full trolleys at a steady chilled band, and the walk-in format keeps everything visible and accessible in one place.
In use it runs a 0 to +8 °C band under an electronic controller, with automatic hot-gas defrost that clears the evaporator through the run cycle without shutting the room down. Noise sits at 60 dB. Rated consumption is 8541 kWh a year, so running cost is about £2135 at 25p/kWh — a figure worth putting through the finance and breakdown-cost tools below when you size the room against your throughput.
The room draws 910 W on a 220–240 V/50 Hz single-phase supply and uses R290 refrigerant with a 170 g charge. Net weight is 646 kg (676 kg gross). Plan the delivery and build route around the 700 × 1845 mm door leaf and the internal footprint, and allow for drainage and clearance around the condensing pack when siting it.
