Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF2427 is a walk-in chiller room for kitchens and back-of-house operations that need serious chilled volume in one place. It holds a band of 0 to +8 °C across a generous internal envelope of 2240 × 2540 × 2040 mm (W×D×H), enough floor and shelf space to store deliveries, prep and reserve stock without spreading it across separate cabinets. A single hinged solid door, 700 mm wide and 1845 mm high, gives trolley and tray access into the room.
In daily use an electronic controller holds the set temperature and runs automatic hot-gas defrost, so the room keeps its band through service and clears frost without a manual routine. The system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 170 g charge and draws 910 W. Running noise is rated at 60 dB, and at 8541 kWh a year the room costs about £2135 a year at 25p/kWh to run — the figure moves with tariff, ambient temperature and door traffic.
This is a substantial unit: net weight is 636 kg (666 kg gross), so plan the delivery route, lift and floor loading before it arrives. Panels are finished in white inside and out. It runs on a 220-240V 50Hz supply. As with any walk-in, check the 700 mm door width against your access route and internal doorways on the way to the install position.
