Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD CRPF1230 is a self-contained walk-in chiller room for chilled back-of-house storage. Its long, narrow 1040 × 2840 × 2040 mm internal chamber holds a 0 to +8 °C band, giving a kitchen a dedicated cold store for fresh produce, dairy, prepped stock and chilled deliveries. The single hinged solid door opens to a 580 mm wide by 1845 mm high aperture, tall enough for stacked trolleys.
Day to day it runs on an electronic controller with automatic hot-gas defrost, so the evaporator clears itself and the chamber stays inside its chilled band. Cooling uses R290 refrigerant with a 130 g charge, draws 860 W and is rated at 60 dB. Against a verified 6833 kWh a year, running cost works out at about £1708 a year at 25p/kWh.
For install, the internal chamber is 1040 × 2840 × 2040 mm — a deep, narrow layout that suits storage down one wall. The unit weighs 325 kg gross and 295 kg net, so plan access and lifting. Electrical supply is a 220-240 V/50 Hz single-phase connection.
