Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF1218 is a walk-in chiller room built to hold bulk chilled stock at a steady 0 to +8 °C in a busy back-of-house. It gives a working kitchen 1040 × 1640 × 2040 mm of internal storage behind a single hinged solid door — room to wheel in trolleys, trays and cases and keep a full day's fresh production in one temperature-controlled space rather than spread across several uprights. Finished white inside and out, the surfaces wipe down for routine hygiene.
An electronic controller holds the 0 to +8 °C band without manual intervention, and defrost is automatic using hot gas, so ice does not build on the evaporator through service. The refrigeration circuit uses R290 with a 130 g charge and draws 830 W. Rated noise is 60 dB. On verified energy use of 6545 kWh a year, running cost is about £1636 a year at 25p/kWh.
The single hinged door opening measures 580 mm wide and 1845 mm high; plan trolley and stock access around that clear width before siting the room. Net weight is 255 kg and gross weight 285 kg. It runs on a 220–240 V/50 Hz supply, with the R290 circuit carrying a 130 g charge, finished white inside and out with an electronic controller for continuous back-of-house duty.
