Why this add-on unit earns its place
This is an Add-On unit, not a standalone shelving bay — it's built to bolt onto an existing Cambro Camshelving Basics Plus Stationary unit and extend the run, whether that's a straight line, an L-shape or a T-shape. It ships complete with one post kit, eight traverses and the shelf plates needed to join it to the adjoining unit, so there's no separate hardware to source.
At 718mm wide it has a compact footprint, useful where cold room or dry store space is tight but you still want the full four tiers of shelving. The build is moulded plastic in grey, which is the point in a cold room: it won't rust or corrode the way a metal alternative can over years of condensation and washdown, and Cambro backs it with a lifetime warranty against rust and corrosion. At 14.3kg it's light enough to reposition without needing extra hands.
Day to day, the shelf plates lift out and go straight in the dishwasher, and the whole unit wipes down easily between deliveries. Added in a straight line to existing Camshelving, you don't lose any weight-bearing capacity, which matters when you're stacking a cold room to the ceiling.
