Why this open fronted multideck fridge earns its place
The MCX90M is an open-fronted multideck built to put chilled lines in front of customers with nothing between them and the stock. It gives you 0.89 m² of display area over four adjustable shelves, with 370 litres of usable volume from a 440-litre gross cabinet, so you can flex the shelf layout around pack sizes and rotate stock through the day. The SS304 stainless steel finish, inside and out, stands up to constant retail handling and wipe-downs.
Day to day it holds a -1 to +5 °C band on ventilated cooling with automatic defrost, so there is no manual defrost routine to schedule. An electronic controller manages the temperature, and the cabinet is rated to climate class 3 for typical shop-floor conditions. It runs at 56 dB and carries an energy class E rating; at 3,865 kWh a year that works out to about £966 a year at 25p/kWh, which is worth factoring into the running budget for an open-front format.
The cabinet measures 868 × 740 × 1994 mm externally and ships packed at 980 × 790 × 2150 mm, so measure your access route — the 868 mm body width needs a doorway to match. Net weight is 160 kg (225 kg gross), so plan the lift and final positioning. Electrically it takes a 13 A supply at 220-240 V, drawing 670 W, and it uses 149 g of R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant.
