Why this open fronted multideck fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD MCX150M is an open-fronted multideck display fridge built to put chilled stock in front of customers and keep it moving. Its 1.72 m² of vertical display spreads across four adjustable shelves, so grab-and-go lines — chilled drinks, dairy, packaged meat, deli and prepared food — sit at eye level and within reach. The SS304 stainless steel interior and exterior stand up to busy retail traffic and repeated daily cleaning.
The cabinet holds -1 to +5 °C, a band suited to chilled retail stock, and clears frost on an automatic cycle so staff don't need to intervene. An electronic controller governs the temperature, and the cabinet is rated climate class 3 to hold that band on a warm, busy shop floor. The F energy class and 6770 kWh a year work out at about £1693 a year at 25p/kWh, with running noise rated at 61 dB.
The cabinet measures 1512 × 740 × 1994 mm (W×D×H) and runs from a standard 13 A supply on 220-240 V, drawing 1210 W. Net weight is 255 kg (325 kg gross), so plan delivery access and a firm, level floor. For doorway clearance the packed unit is 1600 × 790 × 2150 mm — measure your narrowest opening first. Refrigerant is R290 (150 g charge), a low-GWP hydrocarbon, and capacity is 790 litres gross, 670 litres net.
