Why this open fronted multideck fridge earns its place
The BTD200SSV2 is Blizzard's 2-metre open-front multideck: an open-fronted chilled display in stainless steel that puts pre-packed food and drink in front of shoppers with nothing between them and the stock. It holds 893 litres across four adjustable shelves and a retractable night blind fitted as standard. The open face gives the fastest possible grab-and-go along a busy aisle and drives impulse pick-up, making it a merchandising cabinet as much as a refrigerator.
The cabinet holds a chilled band of 0 to +7 °C and is built to climate class 3, so it is rated to keep that temperature in the warmer, busier ambient of a trading floor rather than a cold back room. It measures 1940 mm wide, 700 mm deep and 2000 mm tall, weighing 400 kg gross. Cooling runs on R290, a low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant now standard across modern display refrigeration, fitted with a digital controller.
An open-front multideck works hardest when it isn't fighting draughts or heat sources, so keep it clear of doorways and warm equipment. Plan the delivery route in and confirm the floor can take the 400 kg loading. Because R290 is a flammable hydrocarbon, siting and servicing should follow the standard precautions for R290 cabinets.
