Why this glass door multideck fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD PC1870B is a glass-door multideck refrigerator built for high-volume chilled display. Three hinged glass doors front 4.13 m² of merchandising space, and five adjustable shelves let you set the pitch to whatever you are facing up — cans, cartons, pre-pack or grab-and-go. The black RAL9005 finish, inside and out, keeps the eye on the product rather than the cabinet.
It holds -1 to +5 °C, cold enough for chilled food and drink, with automatic defrost and an electronic controller running the cycle. The self-closing glass doors hold the cold in rather than spilling it into the aisle, which is where the B energy rating and 13.8% EEI come from — running cost works out at about £742 a year at 25p/kWh. Noise is rated at 65 dB, and climate class 3 suits a normal air-conditioned retail floor.
Externally the cabinet measures 1935 × 740 × 2050 mm and needs a standard 13 A supply on 220–240 V. At 2050 mm tall it is taller than a standard doorway, so check heights and clearances on the delivery route, and at 420 kg gross plan for mechanical handling and more than one person. It runs on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 139 g charge; gross volume is 1939 litres, 1147 litres net once shelved.
