Why this open fronted multideck fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD MDCB1250HB is an open-fronted multideck display fridge, built to put chilled stock on open, self-service shelves that customers reach straight into. Its 1.7 m² of display area gives a full merchandising face for grab-and-go lines — drinks, dairy, sandwiches, chilled snacks — arranged across the deck. The open front removes the door between customer and product, which is what an impulse chilled display trades on.
Day to day, the cabinet carries a class B energy rating with an energy efficiency index of 15.5%. It draws about 1,763 kWh a year, which works out at roughly £441 a year at 25p/kWh — the number to fold into your running-cost budget alongside the takings the display drives. The energy performance is independently registered, so the label reflects real in-service consumption.
Because a multideck is a self-contained, plug-in display, siting comes down to access and airflow: a clear delivery route in and room around the cabinet to breathe. Full external and packed dimensions, weights and electrical details are listed in the spec table below — measure your access and floor space against them before you order. If you want a view on siting or fit before delivery, our team can talk it through.
