Why this minibars & hotel fridge earns its place
The Combisteel Minibar Peltier System is a compact minibar built for hotel guest rooms, serviced apartments, offices and self-catering accommodation. It uses a Peltier thermoelectric cooling system rather than a traditional compressor, in a small self-contained cabinet that keeps guests' drinks and snacks within easy reach.
Peltier cooling is a solid-state system with no compressor, which suits quiet rooms where guests are resting close by. It holds +6 to +12 °C with a manual controller and automatic defrost. It is designed to hold drinks and light snacks at a cool serving temperature rather than to freeze or deep-chill, so it works as an in-room refreshment cabinet rather than food storage. At just 33 dB(A), it runs quietly enough to sit beside a bed without disturbing rest.
Its compact footprint — 405 mm wide, 443 mm deep and 545 mm tall — lets it sit on the floor beside a bed or desk, or on a shelf inside a cupboard. At just 13 kg it is light enough to move and re-site as rooms are reconfigured. It runs from a standard mains socket at 230 V 50 Hz, drawing 0.06 kW, so any standard outlet works. As a plug-in unit there is no plumbing or fixed installation to arrange.
