Why this single door glass door fridge earns its place
The SCU1425 is a single-door glass merchandiser built to put chilled stock on show. Behind its frameless hinged glass door sit five black sheet-metal shelves and 347 litres of net capacity (387 litres gross), giving you the vertical face to merchandise drinks, grab-and-go food or packaged chilled lines at eye level. The black exterior and black ABS interior keep the focus on the product rather than the cabinet.
It holds a chilled band of +2 to +10 °C and runs automatic defrost, so there is no manual routine to schedule. A mechanical controller keeps the setpoint. Rated at 45 dB it is quiet enough for customer-facing positions, and it carries climate class 4, meaning it is built to keep working in the warmer ambient conditions of a busy shop floor. Energy class D at 682.6 kWh a year works out at about £171 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 595 × 595 × 1990 mm externally, so it sits on a standard 600 mm footprint and clears most doorways once unpacked; in its packing it ships at 665 × 715 × 2150 mm, worth checking against your access route. It runs from a standard 13-amp supply drawing 235 W at 220–240 V, using R600a refrigerant with an 85 g charge. Net weight is 86 kg (97 kg gross), a two-person lift into position.
