Why this display fridge earns its place
The GH426 is a single glass-door upright display fridge from Polar's G-Series, finished in black. Its full-height glazed door turns chilled stock into a self-service display, so customers can see and reach drinks, snacks and packaged chilled lines without a member of staff opening the cabinet. At just 530 mm wide and 1692 mm tall, the upright format suits tight retail and hospitality floors where counter space is scarce but visible merchandising still has to earn its keep.
Day to day, the cabinet holds +2 to +8 °C across four adjustable shelves, with fan-assist cooling to maintain temperature and the glass door giving customers a clear view of what is on display. The glazed front lets customers browse and take stock without you opening up, while the upright shelving presents lines face-on for easy restocking from the front. At 124 kg it is the lightest option in the range, drawing only 230W and achieving excellent B energy class efficiency — around 2.01 kWh per 24 hours.
Site it where footfall is highest so the glazed display does the selling — near a till, entrance or queue line is where a self-service chiller pulls its weight for impulse chilled sales. The cabinet comes with a 2-year parts-and-labour warranty. As a tall single unit it ships in one piece, so measure your doorway height and the full access route before delivery. Give it its own socket rather than sharing a circuit with other equipment, and leave clearance around the cabinet so the refrigeration can shed heat.
