Why this double door glass door fridge earns its place
The SD1140 is an upright double-door glass merchandiser finished in white inside and out, built to put chilled stock in front of customers. Two sliding glass doors front eight shelves, so a full column of drinks, grab-and-go or packaged chilled lines stays on show while the glass keeps the cold in. It is the kind of cabinet that earns its floor space through impulse visibility rather than back-of-house storage.
In use it holds +1 to +10 °C, with automatic off-cycle defrost keeping the coils clear without manual intervention. It carries climate class 5, so it holds its temperature in demanding, warmer rooms, and draws 637 W of input power for an energy class D rating. Running cost works out at about £290 a year in energy at 25p/kWh, and it registers 57 dB in operation.
For installation the cabinet is 1140 × 635 × 2020 mm (W×D×H) and weighs 182 kg gross, so plan the delivery route and lifting help in advance. The sliding doors need no swing clearance, which suits tight aisles, and internal space runs to 1050 × 515 × 1380 mm. It runs on a 220-240 V / 50 Hz single-phase supply drawing 13 A, and uses R290 refrigerant with a 150 g charge.
