Why this double door glass door fridge earns its place
The LGC5000B is a twin-door upright glass merchandiser built to put chilled stock on show in a busy retail aisle. Two hinged glass doors front 1.38 m² of display area, a wide glazed span for a high-visibility line-up of soft drinks, dairy, packed food and other chilled retail lines. The upright format keeps the display vertical and shopper-facing.
In use it holds +1 to +8 °C for chilled retail stock, with automatic off-cycle defrost that clears frost during natural off periods rather than on a scheduled cycle. It sits at energy class B with an energy efficiency index of 19.0, and at 1901.7 kWh a year that is about £475 a year in energy at 25p/kWh — a figure worth rechecking against your own tariff with the energy label decoder below. It runs at 58 dB, so factor that into where it sits relative to customers.
On the technical side it draws 400 W and uses natural R290 refrigerant, a low-GWP hydrocarbon standard across current chilled display cabinets. For exact dimensions, capacity and electrical detail, see the full specification table on this page.
