Why this flat glass cake display fridge earns its place
The Refrigerated Dessert Show Display 1950 is the tall 400 litre version of Combisteel's upright dessert showcase, finished in black and built to make chilled patisserie visible from the front of house. At 650 mm wide, 650 mm deep and 1950 mm high, it gives cafés, bakeries and delis a full-height cabinet for cakes, gateaux, tarts and plated desserts without taking up the counter run of a horizontal serve-over.
The cabinet runs at +2 to +8 °C with ventilated cooling, automatic defrost and R290 refrigerant, so it is set up for chilled display rather than frozen storage. LED interior lighting keeps the display bright, the single door is lockable for closing time, and the 500 × 590 × 1330 mm internal space gives useful upright capacity for a broad sweet range.
Plan it like a proper full-height cabinet. The unit weighs 209 kg gross and stands nearly two metres high, so check the delivery route, floor position and any turns through corridors before it arrives. It runs from a 230V, 50Hz supply and is listed at 45 dB(A), which helps when it is sited near a till, counter queue or customer seating area.
