Why this display fridge earns its place
The GP291 is a countertop food display fridge from Polar's G-Series, finished in black to sit back against the counter and keep the focus on the product inside. It is a cake-display format: cakes, patisserie, desserts and grab-and-go items go on show at the till line where they prompt the impulse buy, rather than sitting in a back-of-house chiller where nobody sees them. The cabinet holds 160 litres across 2 adjustable shelves, giving you more display capacity than a smaller countertop unit while still fitting a standard counter run.
Sitting on the counter puts the display at eye level as the customer orders and pays, which is where a slice of cake or a chilled dessert turns into an add-on sale. It runs at temperatures between 0 and 12 °C and is built from stainless steel and glass with forced-air cooling and R600a refrigerant (GWP 3). Energy class B, using 2.8 kWh per 24 hours (1023 kWh annually), keeps running costs reasonable across the trading week.
As a countertop unit it measures 686 mm (H) × 886 mm (W) × 568 mm (D) and weighs 66 kg gross — check the width against your counter run and the dimensions against your delivery doorway before ordering.
