Why this beer fridge earns its place
The GL008 is a back bar cooler from Polar's G-Series line, finished in stainless steel with hinged doors and a 208-litre capacity. It sits behind or under the bar and keeps bottled stock cold and to hand, so the person pulling drinks isn't walking to the cellar mid-service. At 900mm wide and 520mm deep, it's sized for a standard back-bar run. In a busy bar the value is in the placement: chilled stock at the point where it's poured.
Day to day it is built to be worked hard. The hinged doors are opened and shut through a full shift, and the stainless steel exterior wipes down between services and stands up to a wet, high-traffic bar environment. The cabinet holds two shelves and maintains a steady +2 to +8 °C across a 62kg frame. Loading and restocking happen from the front, so the cabinet can back onto a wall or nest into a fitted back-bar run.
The GL008 runs from a 230V supply and draws 230W rated input (around 1.3 kWh per day). Plan the install against the spec table before you commit: measure the back-bar gap and the delivery doorway, and confirm the mains position it will sit next to.
