Why this display freezer earns its place
The GH429 is a double glass-door upright display freezer from Polar's G-Series, finished in black. Its two full-height glazed doors turn frozen stock into a self-service display, so customers can see and reach ice cream, frozen ready meals and packaged frozen lines without a member of staff opening up. At 1370 mm wide and 2022 mm tall, the upright twin-door format gives a wide merchandising face for busy retail and hospitality floors.
It holds a frozen band of -22 to -18 °C, cold enough to keep packaged frozen stock hard and safely below the -18 °C food-safety line through the trading day. Ten adjustable shelves give you flexibility to suit stock depth and lines, while the glazed doors and front-access design let customers browse without releasing cold air for long. The cabinet weighs 212 kg and features forced-air cooling to maintain temperature across both door sections and all shelves.
It runs on natural R290 (propane), a low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant. Energy-wise it rates F class at around 23.5 kWh per day — typical for a larger twin-door freezer holding substantial stock. The cabinet comes with a 2-year parts-and-labour warranty. As a tall twin-door unit it ships as one large piece, so measure your doorway height, width and the full access route before delivery. Give it its own dedicated 1100W circuit rather than sharing with other heavy equipment, and leave clearance around it for heat dissipation.
