Why this supermarket freezer earns its place
The TD500 is a two-level open-front display freezer built for high-impact impulse frozen sales. Its open front and twin display levels put frozen stock within easy reach with no lid or door to open, holding 450 litres gross and 408 litres net in a compact 1210 mm-wide footprint. The white cabinet suits a supermarket aisle, forecourt or convenience-store position where frozen impulse lines need to sell themselves off the shop floor.
It runs at -21 to -15 °C with static cooling and a mechanical controller. Defrost is manual, so plan a periodic defrost into your routine to keep it clear of ice. Sound output is 55 dB and it is rated climate class 4 for typical indoor retail conditions. As an open-front format at energy class F, it is rated at 2613.4 kWh a year, about £653 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 1210 × 790 × 1213 mm externally and ships packed at 1300 × 885 × 1280 mm, so check doorway and access clearance for the 1300 mm packed width before delivery. It runs from a standard 13 A supply at 220-240 V, 50 Hz, and draws 650 W. It uses R290 refrigerant with an 80 g charge, and net weight is 121 kg.
