Why this supermarket freezer earns its place
The DUPLA 2.2DE is a large-format supermarket display freezer built for frozen retail. It offers 1697 litres gross and 1255 litres net across 2.65 m² of display area, so a single cabinet carries a full frozen range. The exterior is finished in anthracite RAL7016 with a white interior, and at 2150 mm wide it anchors a frozen aisle in one run.
Day to day it holds a frozen band of −24 to −18 °C using static cooling and automatic defrost, with an electronic controller managing temperature. Noise is rated at 48 dB and it carries climate class 3. Energy class C works out at 3358 kWh a year, roughly £840 a year to run at 25p/kWh, with an energy efficiency index of 26%.
The cabinet measures 2150 × 1465 × 930 mm (W × D × H) and weighs 198 kg net, 251 kg gross. Packed for delivery it is 2240 × 1550 × 1050 mm, so access routes and doorways are worth measuring before it arrives. It runs from a standard 13 A supply at 220–240 V, drawing 522 W, and uses R290 refrigerant with an 85 g charge.
