Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The NIC502SC is a sliding-lid ice cream freezer in a white finish, built to display and hold frozen stock for parlours, kiosks and shops. It offers 478 litres gross and 367 litres net capacity, so there is room to merchandise tubs and impulse frozen novelties while keeping working stock to hand. The interior is white painted steel, and the sliding-lid chest format keeps the frozen contents contained on an open floor.
It runs at -24 to -14 °C with static cooling and a manual defrost, controlled by a mechanical controller. At 45 dB it is quiet enough for a customer-facing position, and it carries an energy class of D with an efficiency index of 41%. The rated consumption of 828.5 kWh a year works out at about £207 a year at 25p/kWh. It is rated to climate class 5, so it holds temperature in a warm ambient.
The cabinet measures 1570 × 650 × 885 mm externally with a 1430 × 510 × 576 mm interior, so check the 1570 mm width against your doorways and delivery route before ordering. It weighs 122 kg gross (110 kg net), runs on a 220–240 V/50 Hz supply drawing 265 W through a 13 A connection, and uses 110 g of R290 natural refrigerant.
