Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD IC402SC is a white ice cream display freezer sized for merchandising frozen lines on a shop floor. At 401 litres gross and 350 litres net, it holds a working display of ice cream tubs and frozen impulse product where customers can reach it.
It holds a frozen band of -24 to -14 °C using static cooling, with a mechanical controller and manual defrost, and runs at 45 dB — quiet enough for a customer-facing space. It is rated energy class D and draws 877.1 kWh a year, about £219 a year at 25p/kWh, on a 320 W input. Climate class 5 covers warm ambient conditions.
The cabinet measures 1300 × 630 × 892 mm (W×D×H) externally with an internal capacity envelope of 1180 × 510 × 655 mm, and weighs 74 kg gross (64 kg net) — measure doorways and the pitch against the 1300 mm width before delivery. Cooling is by R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 105 g charge, it runs on a 220-240 V / 50 Hz, 13-amp supply, and the interior is white painted steel.
