Why this sliding lid ice cream freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD IC401SCEB is a display chest freezer with a sliding curved glass lid that merchandises frozen stock from above while keeping it covered. The interior measures 1180 mm wide by 495 mm deep and holds 325 litres net (352 litres gross), giving a long display run for ice cream, frozen desserts and pre-packed frozen lines. It suits impulse, self-serve frozen selling.
Cooling is static and the cabinet holds -24 to -14 °C under a mechanical thermostat, with manual defrost when the store is cleared down. It is rated to climate class 5 and runs at 45 dB. At energy class D it draws 799 kWh a year — about £200 a year at 25p/kWh — from a 141-watt input.
The cabinet has a white exterior and white painted steel interior and weighs 66 kg. It ships in a 1400 × 750 × 1010 mm crate, so plan delivery access for that width. Power is a 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply on a standard 13-amp socket, and cooling uses R290 refrigerant with a 105-gram charge.
