Why this display chest freezer earns its place
The Elcold FOCUS 171 GREY is a display chest freezer with a sliding curved glass lid, built to present frozen stock across a wide top-opening cabinet. The curved glass gives customers a clear view of the contents while the freezer holds 351 litres of net capacity from 484 litres gross. It is finished in white and grey with a hammered aluminium interior for retail display.
Static cooling holds the freezer from -23 to -16 °C, suited to long-term frozen storage and merchandising of ice cream, packed frozen goods and bulk stock. Defrost is manual, so the cabinet is cleared of ice build-up periodically, and a mechanical controller sets the temperature. It uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Rated energy class D at 1025.7 kWh a year, it costs about £256 a year at 25p/kWh.
At 1700 × 650 × 850 mm (W×D×H) it is a wide cabinet, weighing 79 kg gross and packing to 1760 × 760 × 880 mm for delivery — measure the floor run and access route before it arrives. It runs from a standard 13 A supply at 220-240 V, drawing 235 W, and is rated to climate class 4. The R290 charge is 94 g.
