THE WORKING VIEW

Why this fridge shelve earns its place

Combisteel designed their mid-range refrigeration cabinets (models 1350, 1353, 1360) with left and right grids to match the interior layout. This left grid sits on the left side of the cabinet, exactly 390 mm wide and 350 mm deep — measured to fit flush without wobble or overhang. Stainless steel throughout means it handles daily washdown, won't corrode if citric acid or cleaning spirits splash it, and keeps looking professional after years of hard use.

The grid slides into the cabinet's support rails (usually one or two clips hold it at the target height). Once seated, it's invisible to your customers but essential to your operation: it stops food falling through, prevents smaller items rolling back, and gives your prep team a solid surface for arranging stock without crushing what's underneath.

Restaurants, bakeries, deli counters and retail food businesses replace these grids when they warp, get damaged during deep clean, or simply wear thin after repeated loading. One grid wears faster than others — usually the one that takes the heaviest stock repositioning. Craven keeps this in stock so you're never stuck with a dead shelf mid-service.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Your cabinet has both. The left grid is narrower (390 mm) and sits on the left side of the interior. The right grid is wider. Check your current grid or the cabinet manual to confirm which side is damaged.

No — it'll leave a gap on the right and won't sit properly on the right-side support rails. You'll need the correct side-specific grid for a tight fit.

Stainless steel throughout. It resists corrosion from citric acid cleaners, bleach dilutions, and daily washdown spray. It won't rust even if moisture sits in the corners, and it wipes clean in seconds.

Yes. The 1350, 1353 and 1360 share the same cabinet footprint and rail system. This grid fits all three models.

Slide it out (usually one or two clips hold the old one), clean the support rails if needed, then slide the new grid in and secure with the clips at the correct height. Takes five minutes. If you're unsure, call 01792

On a medium-load refrigerator (restaurant prep fridge), five to seven years. High-traffic prep areas with heavy repositioning, two to three years. If it develops a permanent bend or rust spot, that's your signal.
