Why this preserve jar earns its place
The rubber washer is the critical component that makes the Weck sealing system work. The clamp (sold separately, item GH390) presses down on the washer, and the washer compresses to form an airtight seal against the jar lid and the glass rim. Over time, rubber hardens with heat and age — so reliable preservation depends on fresh washers.
One 10-pack gives you enough washers for a small jarring operation with spares. If you're running a regular in-house bottling programme, you'll use these regularly. Dishwasher safe, so you can clean them between uses to remove food residue, but they'll eventually harden and need replacing — usually every 12 months of normal use.
These are the genuine APS washers designed for Weck jars. The 54 × 67mm dimensions fit the standard Weck lid size. Keeping backup packs in stock ensures you always have a fresh seal ready when you need to jar something.
