Why this tray earns its place
Olympia's bamboo serving tray is built for the pass. It's lightweight enough that a member of front-of-house can carry it one-handed through a packed dining room, yet substantial enough not to flex or bounce under a full load of hot plates or glasses. At 350 × 510 mm it's a proper surface—larger than a standard dessert run, generous enough for a full appetiser course—but the black finish keeps it elegant rather than domestic.
Bamboo is naturally durable in commercial kitchens. Unlike wooden boards that can warp or split with temperature swings, this tray is stable through service. The 1.6 kg weight is the real win: you'll carry dozens of these a shift without wrist fatigue, and guests never feel awkward seeing the bare wood come to the table as part of the service.
Hand wash only (the one rule), and it'll look the same next year as it does today. The matte black reads professional—no shine catching the overhead lights, no fingerprints showing.
