Why this lid earns its place
Not every buffet spread is oversized. Working lunches, cocktail receptions and standing events often work with narrower platter formats — shorter platters that fit tighter on a table or trolley. These lids are built for exactly that: at 460mm × 100mm, they're the compact counterpart to the larger Alchemy range, protecting slim platters without wasting precious buffet space.
The shallow 90mm depth keeps the stack lean, which matters when you're moving multiple trays through a confined event space. A pair of lids covers two narrow platters — the practical working unit for any spread where you're protecting finger food, canapés or a slender line of prepared items. They're light (550g for two) and stack neatly when service ends, taking up almost no storage footprint.
Food stays visible through the clear plastic, which means guests and staff can see what's beneath without lifting the lid. The plastic is food-safe and wipes clean in seconds between courses. Unlike cloth covers, which absorb flavours and staining, plastic won't transfer tastes or pick up grease from the food underneath. For catering operations running multiple events, these are the economical answer: they work tirelessly and outlast fabric covers by years.
