Why this tray earns its place
The Fusion Buffet isn't a fridge — it's a system. This GN 1/1 plastic tray is the working base of that system. It's where you rest the cooler blocks, and on top of those blocks you layer your display trays (porcelain or plastic, full-size or half-size). The plastic is lightweight — half a kilogram, so you can handle it easily — but it's durable enough to take the weight of the blocks and whatever food you stack on top.
The tray measures 540mm × 340mm and sits 50mm tall. That shallow height is intentional: it keeps the whole display compact and lets you reach across comfortably. It's rectangular and stackable, so when you're not running a buffet, the trays pack flat and take up barely any storage space.
Because it's plastic, not porcelain, it won't be the star of the show — it's the foundation. It sits between the Ice Cell blocks and the floor, or between the blocks and the serving counter, quietly doing the structural work. The Fusion Buffet system is all about modularity: you choose how many of these base trays you need, which display trays you layer on top, and which risers and finishes suit your event. One setup might be three plastic base trays, two porcelain GN 1/1s, and a pair of GN 1/2s. Another might be just two bases with a simpler arrangement. It's your design.
