Why this tray earns its place
The Cambro Versalite rectangular tray is the workhorse of front-of-house service. At 460 × 360 mm, it's large enough to hold a serious load—a full place setting, stacked plates, or an assembly of small plates for efficient table delivery—yet compact enough to fit through a standard kitchen window or hand-carry two or three at once. The speckled smoke finish is professional and hides minor wear, making these trays a sensible choice for high-volume operations where appearance matters across the shift.
Built from high-grade polyester with reinforced corners and protective edge banding, these trays absorb the knock and tumble of real service without cracking or splintering. Cambro has engineered them to withstand heat up to 103 °C, so they handle fresh plating and still-warm service without distortion. Stacking lugs are moulded into the base, allowing air to circulate underneath—a small detail that makes a big difference in busy wash cycles, where pooled water and slow drying breed stains and odours.
The stack-friendly design means you can store 30 or 40 trays in a footprint that would otherwise hold half as many. Fully dishwasher safe, they run through standard commercial cycles without discolouration or wear. A single tray sits at the right weight for one hand; a stack is still manageable. For restaurants, banquets, and catering operations juggling covers and volume, these trays are reliable enough to become invisible—which is exactly the point.
