Why this platterstray earns its place
The full 1/1 GN (gastronorm) size opens up what you can do with the Float design. At 530 mm wide, you've got the footprint for substantial plating, bulk component service, or display work. The distinctive floating-base silhouette still works at this scale—it creates presence on a buffet or service counter without looking oversized or clumsy. Black melamine frames whatever sits on top, whether that's food components, pastries, or prepared dishes.
Melamine durability scales with size. A larger tray handles more movement and more stacking pressure, but melamine—unlike ceramics—doesn't become fragile at this scale. It actually gets better: the weight (1.8 kg) is substantial enough to feel secure in service without being unwieldy. The smooth, clear-edged surfaces won't chip, and the material itself won't crack if you knock it. That matters when you're moving full-size trays through a busy kitchen or around a banquet setup.
The full-size opens specific use cases: plating multiple covers at once, component service where you're building plates on the line, or buffet display work where visual impact and scale matter. It stacks like the half-size does—up to about 8–10 trays safely—so storage footprint doesn't explode. Dishwasher safe, which is non-negotiable at this size; you can't afford hand-washing a stack of full-size trays during service.
