This APS board is 15mm—just enough depth to contain sauce and moisture without competing with the plate itself. The 235 × 135mm footprint is rectangular, which means it sits naturally across a place setting or stands alone as a sharing board. The 1.2-litre capacity isn't about volume here; it's about width and area. You get room to compose, arrange, and breathe.
The blue-on-black design is intentional. The outer black absorbs and hides stains; the blue interior lifts the food without clash. Melamine survives the dishwasher hundreds of times without degrading. Heat-resistant to 70°C, so you can plate hot food—a warm sashimi palate cleanser, a freshly seared component—without waiting for cooling. The shallow depth means it heats and cools quickly, keeping the rest of the plate at service temperature.
