Why this basket earns its place
A wire basket does one thing well: it gives loose items an edge to sit inside, so a counter reads as arranged rather than as things left on a surface. At 25 mm deep this one is a tray with a lip rather than a bowl — everything lies in a single layer, in view and within reach, which is what you want for wrapped items, cutlery rolls or sachets that a customer is meant to pick from. Pile that sort of thing into something deeper and the bottom layer stops selling. The 320 × 180 mm footprint sits along a counter edge or across a service line without claiming the whole run.
Open wire is the practical part. Crumbs, packaging dust and the odd drip fall through instead of collecting in a corner, so the basket looks clean for longer between resets and takes seconds to shake out. Stainless steel rinses through and dries fast — there is no flat inside face for water to pool on — and it holds its shape through the knocks a counter basket takes when it is being lifted, refilled and moved several times a day. Empty ones stack down to almost nothing when a service ends.
