Why this display basket earns its place
A display basket does a job a flat tray cannot: it gives the goods an edge to sit against, so a counter reads as a deliberate display rather than a pile. This one is oblong at 455 × 300 mm, a run-along-the-counter shape rather than a centrepiece — it lines up end to end down a service line, or sits across the front of a counter with the long side facing the customer. Being 50 mm deep is the detail that matters most in use. Everything stays in one layer, so nothing is buried, nothing gets crushed under what is stacked on top, and a customer can see the whole offer and lift the item they want without disturbing the rest.
That shallow depth also changes how it is refilled. A deep container hides how much is left and hits the point where the last few items look like leftovers; a 50 mm basket shows the gap immediately, so staff top it up on sight rather than on a timer. The chrome finish is bright and reflective, which reads clean under counter lighting and shows the goods rather than the container, and it wipes down between services without holding the marks of the last one. In silver it sits neutrally against most counter schemes, so it can be moved from a breakfast buffet to a deli counter to a marquee table without looking out of place. It is worth running it as a set piece with a fixed home on the counter — the display stays consistent and staff know at a glance which basket needs filling.
