Why this product earns its place
An open basket sells what is in it. There is no lid to lift and nothing between the customer and the food, so a queue can see the offer from a few steps back and a member of staff can serve out of it one-handed while the next order is going through. The trade-off is that everything in the basket is on show at all times, which makes topping up part of the job rather than an afterthought — a basket run down to the last few pieces reads as leftovers, however good they are.
Because it runs from the mains, the basket takes a fixed position rather than being carried out to the floor. Decide where it lives on the counter first, then check there is a socket within reach that does not put a lead across a walkway or into a wet zone. Leave working room either side so a member of staff can serve and refill without shifting anything else, and isolate it from the supply before it gets wiped down at the end of service, keeping water off the power inlet and the lead.
