Why this chip cone earns its place
A chip cone is a small thing with a big responsibility. It has to hold the portion generously—nobody wants a mean basket—without crowding the main item off a standard plate. It has to look considered, not utilitarian. And it has to survive years of aggressive dishwashing without degrading or looking tired. Beaumont's wire design solves all three.
The open wire construction is functional and visual. Standing 241 mm tall with a 105 × 119 mm footprint, the cone holds a genuine portion of chips while the gaps between wires let heat escape, keeping fries hot without making them soggy. The black finish—a durable stainless-steel treated surface, not a paint or coating—reads as intentional on the plate. It says "this place cares about presentation." The tapered cone shape naturally cradles chips without them sliding, so you can plate fast without reshuffling.
Because it's stainless steel with a resilient finish, the basket survives thousands of dishwasher cycles. It won't rust, pit, or discolour. The wire diameter is substantial enough to support a full portion without flexing or warping, and the support base is stable enough to sit reliably on any crockery. At 329 grams, it's light enough to handle quickly but rigid enough never to feel cheap or temporary.
