Why this crates & boxe earns its place
The APS Superbox GN 1/4 is the smaller sibling in the modular buffet-crate family. Where the GN 2/4 spans counter width, this quarter-size crate excels at narrow displays: at the end of a counter, on open shelving, as part of a tiered arrangement, or in small venues where every centimetre counts. Black acacia wood gives warmth and sophistication—no cold stainless, no industrial feel. At 290 mm wide and 185 mm deep, it holds chilled items, pastries, cheese, cold cuts or anything that benefits from an open, visible display.
At 0.755 kg, it's the lightest Superbox format and designed for frequent handling. Fill it, display it, swap it mid-service without strain. The open-top design keeps service fast—no lids to fumble with during a rush. Acacia wood is durable hardwood, denser and more resistant to wear than softwoods, and the black finish ages gracefully in food service.
The APS system philosophy makes these crates powerful in combination. The GN 1/4 pairs with larger formats (GN 2/4, GN 1/2) to create visual hierarchy on a counter: a large central display, smaller accent displays flanking it, stacked or nested to fill space efficiently. The interlocking ring system means you're not locked into one layout—rearrange throughout service as stock changes.
