Why this basket earns its place
Small-format bread service is its own discipline. A table of two might share one 200mm basket, or a fine-dining restaurant might set one per cover. The APS COVE round basket in brown has the scale right: at 200mm diameter, it holds 3–4 dinner rolls or 2–3 slices of larger bread without the basket feeling oversized on the plate. The warm brown tone adds a rustic touch without loudness, fitting equally well with minimalist modern place settings or cosy bistro service.
The construction speaks to reliability. The polypropylene bowl is robust enough to survive years in heavy rotation without cracking, warping, or losing its rigidity. The stainless steel frame is welded solid, not glued, so it won't fail under the stress of heat, moisture, and repeated stacking. At 140g, it's light enough that a kitchen can stock dozens without taking up valuable cupboard real estate, yet the frame is stiff enough that you won't see flex or sag when the basket is full and being carried.
Cleaning and storage are equally straightforward. The whole basket goes into the dishwasher on any cycle — no disassembly needed — and because it's compact, you can nest ten baskets into the space a single crate would take. For a busy kitchen, that efficiency adds up: less washing overhead between turns, less storage burden, more margin for speed.
