Why this tong earns its place
The E7102G is a 30 cm tong for lifting, turning and serving, carrying a green handle bonded into the tong rather than painted on top of it. Green is the colour most UK schemes give salad, fruit and vegetables — the cold, ready-to-eat end of the kitchen, where a tong that has wandered over from another section is exactly the failure a colour scheme exists to prevent. Bonded colour keeps that identification readable long after a dipped coating would have chipped back to bare steel.
The springless build takes a hygiene problem out of the utensil. A sprung tong has a coil and a rivet gap that hold moisture and debris where a brush cannot reach; without one there are two arms and a joint, all of it washable and checkable by eye. At 30 cm the tong has the reach to work down into a full salad bowl or a deep gastronorm without a forearm going in after it.
