Why this spatula earns its place
The E4214 is a long-handled turner for cooking done in bulk vessels rather than on a bench. The 12.5 cm polypropylene blade is wide enough to get under a portion and lift it out in one piece, and the 120 cm of handle means turning and lifting happen from the side of the pan instead of over the top of the steam coming off it.
The perforations do the work that matters in a wet pan: oil, stock or blanching water drains back through the blade as it rises, so what comes out is food rather than food plus half a ladle of liquid, and the blade pushes through a full pan with less drag behind it. The stainless steel handle carries that load — at this length a loaded blade puts real leverage through the joint, and steel is what holds it. The polypropylene blade keeps a hard metal edge away from lined and coated cooking surfaces, and like any plastic utensil it belongs in the hand rather than left resting against a hot pan wall between turns.
