Why this turner earns its place
The slotted blade is the workhorse shape: narrow slots let fat drain away as you turn proteins, vegetables, or fried items without losing them to the pan. The blade is thin stainless steel — flexible enough to slide under delicate food without breaking it, stiff enough to support weight when you're plating several portions. The 27 cm length gives you reach without wobble; you're not juggling a spatula the size of a tennis racket.
The handle is black thermoplastic — warm in the hand, immune to the heat radiating from a hot pan, and shaped so you can press down with your fingers when you need leverage without the handle rotating in your grip. There's a notch on the back of the handle that lets you rest the spatula safely on the rim of the pan between flips, keeping the blade clean and the handle out of splashes.
Throw it in the dishwasher after service and it comes out clean. No hand-washing, no drying, no special care. In kitchens where speed and consistency matter — where you're plating 40 steaks or turning 200 pancakes across breakfast service — this is the tool that disappears into the routine and doesn't need replacing halfway through the season.
