Why this label earns its place
The second day of the week is where rotation starts to earn its keep. Yesterday's tubs are still in the fridge, today's are going in beside them, and the only reliable difference between them is what is written on the outside. A printed, colour-coded Tuesday label settles that in a glance, and the space under the day takes the date so nobody is guessing which Tuesday.
The square measures 19 × 19 mm: enough face to carry a legible date without swallowing the top of a small container, and small enough to sit on a lid lip, a bag seal or the shoulder of a bottle. Permanent adhesive means it goes on once and stays. Pressed onto a clean, dry surface it will ride out fridge condensation and being shifted around a shelf several times a day. It will not lift off cleanly later, so keep them to containers, wrap and film rather than anything that has to be returned unmarked.
