Why this label earns its place
Monday is the day the week's prep lands, and a walk-in full of fresh tubs is the easiest place to lose track of what went in when. This label puts the day on the outside of the container in print and in colour, so a shelf reads at a glance instead of being picked through container by container. The date goes underneath in marker, which gives you both halves of a rotation check: what day it was made, and which week's Monday it was.
At 19 × 19 mm the square face is small enough to sit on the lip of a lid or the side of a small tub without hiding what is inside, and big enough to take a legible date. The adhesive is permanent, so once it is pressed onto a clean, dry surface it stays there through the damp of a walk-in and the handling of a busy service. That is the point of it, and it is also the trade-off: coming off takes a scrub, so these belong on containers, film and wrap rather than on anything that has to be handed back spotless.
