Why this thermo boxe earns its place
The difference between 0.8 kg and 2.7 kg doesn't sound large until you're making 15 trips a shift. This is the Economic model: same EPP material, same insulation performance, same rugged durability, engineered lighter. Less structural reinforcement where it isn't needed, sharper lines instead of bevelled edges, same internal cavity accepting a full GN 1/1 pan. The tradeoff is calculated—you're not losing temperature retention, you're losing weight that isn't working.
It's made for operations that use insulated carriers as consumables: high-volume delivery services that run fleets of these things, central kitchens dispatching to multiple sites several times a day, airline catering that cycles carriers through sterilisation constantly. The lower weight means more carriers fit on a hand truck, more trips per person per shift, less fatigue per operation. The EPP construction is still dishwasher safe, still odour-proof, still immune to the kitchen environment. It still holds temperature as well as the heavier sibling.
The capacity (46 litres) and dimensions (316×400×600 mm) are identical to the standard carrier model. A GN 1/1 pan fits perfectly; so do Camwarmers and Camchillers if you pair this with those. The difference is felt, not seen—and that matters when you're moving 100 of them a day.
