Why this wine cooler table clip earns its place
A wine cooler standing on the table is a nuisance on anything smaller than a six-top. It takes the space three covers need, it drips as the ice melts, and it leaves a ring on the cloth that means a change between sittings. This clip moves the whole problem off the tabletop: it fixes at the table edge and holds the cooler beside the party instead of among the plates and glasses.
The limit is 18 cm diameter, and that is the figure to measure against — take it at the widest point of the cooler, which on most is the rim rather than the base. The cooler itself is not supplied with the clip. Stainless steel is the right material for the job because this is a fitting that lives in condensation and takes wine and melt-water down its length all evening; it wipes down between covers and goes back out without marking.
